BBYO (B’nai B’rith Youth Organization) This international Jewish youth group emphasizes identity-building and leadership development. The youth group includes a boys’ fraternity (AZA) and a girls’ sorority (BBG) and is not affiliated with any specific movement. Interested? NFTY (North American Federation of Temple Youth) The official youth group of the Reform movement since 1939, NFTY focuses on affirming the Jewish identity and commitment of today’s Reform Jewish teens. Young Judaea This pluralistic Zionist youth movement is sponsored by Hadassah (the Women’s Zionist Organization of America) and is the oldest Zionist youth group in the country. Young Judaea aims to transmit Jewish values, Jewish pride and a commitment to Israel to all of its members through year-round regional and national activities, camp and trips toIsrael (including its famous Year Course!). USY (United Synagogue Youth) USY is the official youth group of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism and works to nurture and sustain Jewish identity and commitment in the Conservative community ofNorth America. Betar This international Revisionist Zionist youth group is rich is historical legacy—members fought in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and the War of Independence inIsrael, in the Etzel and the Lechi.
