NFTY (North American Federation of Temple Youth) The official youth group of the Reform movement since 1939, NFTY focuses on affirming the Jewish identity and commitment of today’s Reform Jewish teens.
Young Judaea This pluralistic Zionist youth movement is sponsored by Hadassah (the Women’s Zionist Organization of America) and is the oldest Zionist youth group in the country. Young Judaea aims to transmit Jewish values, Jewish pride and a commitment to Israel to all of its members through year-round regional and national activities, camp and trips to Israel, including Year Course. Areyvut Areyvut empowers Jewish youth with the experiences that will enable them to infuse their lives with the core Jewish values of chesed (kindness), tzedakah (charity) and tikkun olam (social justice). JVibe co-sponsored the JVibe/Areyvut B’nai Tzedek Essay Contest for the first time in 2007.
B’nai Tzedek Teen Philanthropy ProgramThe B’nai Tzedek Teen Philanthropy Program is redefining what it means to be a Jewish philanthropist by showing young people they have the power to make change in the world through a personal and engaged relationship to lifelong giving. This program is a tool for teens to give tzedakah through their own personal-endowment fund, deepen their commitment to social action and be part of a program that models youth leadership. B’nai Tzedek, run by the Howard Grinspoon Foundation, sponsors JVibe’s Repair the World column in every issue of the magazine.
PANIMThe Institute for Jewish Leadership and Values is a non-profit educational organization, established to train the next generation of Jewish leaders through the integration of Jewish learning, values and social responsibility.
