Okay, so I don't mean to publicize it to get gifts or birthday wishes or anything, but today is my 18th birthday! Hooray! But in the midst of all this excitement, I was curious as to what an 18th birthday means in Judaism. Its nothing like turning 13, obviously, but 18 is a big deal in American society; what does it mean as a Jew?

Much to my excitement, I was recently informed that Candace Bushnell, author of Sex and the City and the real-life woman behind the much-loved Carrie Bradshaw, is in the process of writing a new set of novels about a young Carrie Bradshaw.
